Austin is from Helena, Alabama, and competed at Pelham High School under Jeff Mauldin.
Competed collegiately at the University of Montevallo (2009-2013), playing 3B as a freshman, 2B as a sophomore, and SS as a junior and senior. Won several athletic and academic awards during time at Montevallo, including: Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll (2009-2013), Peach Belt Conference First Team All-Conference (2010-2011), Third Team Southeast All-Region by NCBWA (2010-2011), Second Team All-Region by ABCA (2010-2011), Peach Belt Conference First Team All Academic (2011-2013), ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II Pre-Season All-American Team (2012), Peach Belt Conference Pre-Season First Team All-Conference (2013), UM Male Sportsmanship Award (2012-2013), UM John Bennett Walters Top Male Scholar-Athlete Award (2012-2013), and Division 2 Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award (2012-2013).
Competed professionally for the River City Rascals in St. Louis, Missouri during the 2013 season. River City is an Independent Baseball League team, and competes in the Frontier League.
From Chicago, played high school ball at Westmont, IL, All-Conference and All-Metro.
College career began at Cal State Fullerton. Attended Mira Cosat College in San Diego, CA,
(Pacific Coast Conference). Finished collegiate career at UAB.

His 278.0 innings pitched ranks him sixth all-time … the 1,182 batters faced by Kilcrease sets him at fourth all-time in the UA annals … was named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Tournament Team … was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 19 … earned the team high in wins with eight as part of his 8-4 record in 16 starts … tossed two complete games including one in which he held the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks to only one earned run Sported a 3.12 ERA, holding batters to a paltry .255 batting average against for the season … threw 101.0 innings allowing only 35 earned runs … struck out 88 batters, 25 of which were looking, both team highs … went 4-4 in 10 starts during SEC play … struck out 38 in 66.1 innings of work with a 3.79 ERA against league competitors.
JJ Roupe is from Trussville, Alabama and was a multi-sport athlete at Hewitt-Trussville High School.
JJ signed a scholarship with Jacksonville State University to play catcher for the Gamecocks and later transferred to play football at Samford. JJ has also coached Varsity baseball at Oak Mountain and Hewitt-Trussville where he has coached in 4 AHSAA playoff games. He has extensive experience with pitching instruction after serving as a pitching coach for Oak Mountain and Hewitt-Tussville. In addition, he also has a long history teaching hitters and will provide Elite Baseball with both hitting and pitching instruction.
